In a city full of great shows, it is difficult to make a decision on which to choose. This week on The Ed Bernstein Show, I had the pleasure to interview casts from very different shows but both very entertaining. My first guests are The Gazillionaire, Penny and Melody from the critically acclaimed acro-cabarat variety show “Absinthe”. “Absinthe” is performed in the round in intimate proximity of the world-class artists performing amazing feats of strength, balance, danger and unfathomable flexibility. This week on The Ed Bernstein show I welcome “America’s Got Talent” illusionist Michael Turco. Michael is headlining 6 days per week (dark Tuesdays) in “Magic and Mayhem” at Planet Hollywood in the Saxe Theater. This much buzzed about show is choreographed by “Dancing With The Stars” choreographer Lacey Schwimmer and on the show Michael performs a card trick that I am still trying to figure out!

Also joining me on the show is 25 year comedy veteran Michael Wheels Parise. Wheels has been the opening act for Andrew Dice Clay for over 20 years and costarred with Dice in a VH-1 Reality Show called “Dice Undisputed” in 2008. After spending 20 years in Hollywood California at the World Famous Comedy Store as a house favorite, he decided to make Las Vegas his new home with his family. His comedy show “Wheels Live” runs at the Rio Hotel and Casino 6 nights a week Monday thru Saturday at 8:30pm.

Join me this week when I interview award winning illusionist Tommy Wind. At just 21 years of age, Tommy is a dynamic, hip, award winning illusionist who was named “Best Teen Magician of the Year” at the 2009 “World Magic Awards”. His new show IMPACT: An Explosion of Magic and Music opened at the Clarion Hotel in February of 2012. On the show Tommy talks about how he got his start in magic and performs sleight of hand tricks.

Also on the show are General Manager Michael LaPorte and Sushi Chef John Lee from Social House at Crystals in Aria.  Social House offers exquisite Asian cuisine, unrivaled décor and exuberant vibe. • Make a power sauce. Marinara sauce is rich in Vitamin C and other antioxidants. Toss in some Vitamin D-enriched mushrooms and garlic for a real power meal that lowers inflammation.
• Add onions to your meal. Onions are rich in sulfur which helps to detoxify your body.

My guests this week are comedy magician, Nathan Burton, and celebrity impressionist, Bethany Owen. Nathan, a semifinalist contestant on America’s Got Talent Season 4, talks about his current experience on China’s version of America’s Got Talent. Bethany Owen will perform live “God Bless the Child” as the legendary Billie Holliday. Nathan’s show is at The Flamingo Hotel and Casino daily at 4pm, dark on Mondays. This week I had the pleasure of interviewing Ivy Stark, Executive Chef for Dos Caminos Restaurant. Ivy recently wrote a cookbook, Mexican Street Food: 120 Authentic recipes to make at home. I also interviewed “The Kettlebell Bombshell” Lisa Balash, “ who demonstrated how to get a great workout with Kettlebells. If you cannot get enough of the movies “Goodfellas” or “Casino”, tune in this Sunday to The Ed Bernstein Show. My guests are Henry Hill and Frank Cullotta. Henry Hill is a former American mobster, Lucchese crime family associate, and FBI informant whose life was immortalized in the book Wiseguy, written by crime reporter Nicholas Pileggi, and in the 1990 Martin Scorsese film, “Goodfellas”, in which Hill was played by Ray Liotta.

Frank Cullotta was an associate in the Chicago “Outfit”, friend of mobster Anthony Spilotro, and leader of “The Hole in the Wall Gang”. In 1982 Cullotta became a government witness and his testimony was instrumental in putting a number of mobsters behind bars and causing the Outfit to lose its control over Las Vegas.Cullottas real life story was played out by actor Frank Vincent as the character Frankie Marino in the movie Casino.
