Construction worker suffers critical injuries in a work accident
Created on July 28, 2010According to an article in the Las Vegas Sun, a construction worker was transported to University Medical Center this week with critical injuries after being crushed by a front-loader machine's shovel. The Clark County Fire Department says the accident happened at the Hustler Club construction site, near Ponderosa Way and Dean Martin Drive in Las Vegas.
Fire officials say the construction worker, a man in his early 40s, was pinned between the main machine and the shovel. The article says his “co-workers tried to release the shovel but were unable to do so before fire crews arrived. Emergency workers had to use equipment to pry the man from the shovel's grip.”
