Nevada law enforcement agencies are already getting ready for Labor Day weekend. The Las Vegas Sun says local police departments will have extra officers looking for impaired drivers during the next two weeks and they will also be setting up checkpoints throughout the Valley.

Metro Police, the Nevada Highway Patrol, North Las Vegas Police, Henderson Police and Boulder City Police are working on this annual campaign. The effort also included a $31 million national advertising campaign to remind motorists not to drink and drive.
