Helicopter Crash Near Lake Mead, Las Vegas, NV

There was a helicopter crash at the Lake Mead National Recreation area, 30 miles from Las Vegas. Five people on a sightseeing tour of Hoover Dam died Wednesday in the crash. The National Park Service said the helicopter went down shortly before 5 p.m. The Eurocopter AS350 Helicopter slammed into the River Mountains, on the Nevada side of Lake Mead.
