Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Takes Over the Strip

I am so excited about the Rock ‘n Roll Las Vegas Marathon and to see swarms of Team Challenge runners in their orange shirts!

Team Challenge is the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s endurance training and fundraising program. People will be running or walking in the Rock ‘n Roll Las Vegas Marathon to help find a cure for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. My daughter Dana was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at age 3. Dana has been in and out of the hospital nearly her whole life. And now, as a young adult, she and I are working together to raise awareness about the disease and to support research efforts.

Runners from across the world have converged on Las Vegas for the Zappos.com Rock N’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon which kicks off Sunday morning at Mandalay Bay. KDWN’s Barbara Kusak reports the marathon is helping to make a difference as it benefits the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
