Morning Rollover Crash Kills One Person in Las Vegas Nevada An early Wednesday morning crash in the southwest Las Vegas valley killed a 35-year-old man. It was the 45th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas in 2020. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on S. Durango Drive and W. Patrick Lane. A 2005 Honda S2000 convertible and a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta were both westbound on Durango when the Honda entered the Jetta’s lane. The vehicles crossed the intersection at Patrick Lane and exited the roadway on the right side. Both vehicles struck a brick wall while rotating, said the police. The Jetta overturned, then hit the top of the Honda and its driver. The Jetta driver and passenger remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment. According to the police, the Honda driver suffered injuries “beyond medical treatment” and was pronounced dead at the scene.
