An 84-year-old man was killed earlier this month after a crash with a garbage truck near the Las Vegas Strip.

According to police, the crash was reported around 2 p.m. on April 19 at Dean Martin Drive and West Post Road.

The man who passed away entered the intersection from a stop sign in his Dodge minivan where he was struck by the garbage truck.

His injuries were initially described as non-life threatening, however he unfortunately passed away just three days after the accident.

Impairment was not suspected as a factor in the crash, according to police.
