On Sunday morning at around 8:00 am, North Las Vegas Police officers responded to a crash involving an SUV and a bicycle. The incident occurred near Dorrell Lane and Bostick Weir Street.

After arriving at the scene of the incident and conducting an investigation, officers stated that the SUV traveling eastbound on Dorrell Lane struck the bicyclist traveling southbound on Bostick Weir Street.

Officers also confirmed that the bicyclist was taken to University Medical Center where he passed away from his injuries.

The North Las Vegas Police Department stated that the female driver of the SUV remained at the scene and that impairment is not suspected to be a factor, however, speed is believed to have played a role in the incident.

This incident is still under investigation.
