A 77-year-old woman passed away on January 14th after being struck by a motorcycle while she was crossing the street.

The incident occurred near Boulder Highway and Twain Avenue as the elderly woman was attempting to cross the street around 5:45 p.m. According to police, she was wearing dark clothing and was not crossing at a legal crosswalk.

The motorcyclist was thrown from the vehicle upon impact with the pedestrian and taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with minor injuries.

The incident remains under investigation by Las Vegas Metro Police.
