Following a wrong-way driver’s early-morning collision in Henderson, one person has been incarcerated while another is recovering at the hospital.
According to Nevada State Police, troopers received reports of a wrong-way driver near US-95, south of Auto Show Dr. On arrival, a GMC was observed driving southbound in the northbound lane.
The GMC then collided with a Dodge SUV before both vehicles came to a halt.
The Dodge driver was reported to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to University Medical Center nearby.
It is thought that alcohol or drug usage was a contributing factor in the accident and the GMC motorist was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Nevada State Police say the investigation of this incident is ongoing.
