Sunday night in the Las Vegas Valley, one person was killed and another was critically injured in separate car accidents.
The first crash occurred at approximately 8:25 pm when a 27-year-old Las Vegas woman was struck by a Chrysler sedan traveling northbound on Fort Apache Road while crossing the street near West Martin Ave. The woman was outside of a marked crosswalk at the time of the incident and was taken to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. According to Las Vegas police, blood test results are pending to determine whether or not the 31-year-old Las Vegas woman was driving impaired.

The second crash occurred at approximately 10:42 pm, when a 45-year-old Las Vegas Man riding a Kawasaki motorcycle on North Rainbow Boulevard near Yorktown Road collided with a Chevrolet Malibu headed North on Rainbow Boulevard.
The motorcyclist was taken to University Medical Center, where he died of his injuries on Monday, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
