The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police department announced early Thursday morning that a pedestrian was struck and killed after falling into oncoming traffic in downtown Las Vegas on Charleston Blvd.
The incident occurred on Charleston Boulevard west of 10th Street just after 6:30 am
Las Vegas Police stated, “”Evidence at the scene and surveillance video showed a pedestrian fall into the road from the north sidewalk of East Charleston.”
A BMW sedan was traveling westbound in the right lane of the street when, according to police, “the pedestrian fell directly into the path of the approaching vehicle.”
First responders declared the man dead at the scene, and at this time, the identity of the pedestrian has not been released.
The investigation of this incident by LVMPD is still ongoing.
