One woman was killed and her passenger hospitalized in a fatal crash on the 215 Northern Beltway on the morning of Friday November 11th .

Highway patrol reported that a large commercial concrete pumping vehicle was stopped in the
westbound lane of the 215 with mechanical issues.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol, around 6:15 a.m. a white Ford Fiesta “traveling westbound did not stop or appear to apply brakes and struck the rear of the truck”.

The driver of the Fiesta died at the scene from a result of blunt force trauma, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office. The passenger was taken to University Medical Center and is suffering critical injuries.

The driver has been identified as 30-year-old Ivana Rushfield of Las Vegas.

The driver of the commercial truck remained on scene without sustaining any injuries and was
cooperating with investigators. Nevada Highway Police do not suspect impairment with the
driver of the truck.

The crash caused a three-hour closure of the westbound lanes of the 215 Northern Beltway
near the Centennial Bowl.
