In 1985, Rock in Rio premiered at a custom-built, 61-acre complex in Brazil. From the very first concert, headlining performances from legendary musicians such as Elton John, the Black Eyed Peas, Britney Spears, Queen, Sting, and Beyonce have impressed the enormous crowds.
Roberta joined the business, founded by her father Roberto Medina, in 2001 as a production coordinator. While she still continues to help create musical experiences that appeal to multiple generations, she has since then worked her way up to becoming the company’s second-in-command.
The group behind Rock in Rio realized that great music is one of the few things that is truly universal, and with Roberta’s help, the festival has traveled to cities in multiple countries. However, this year will be the first time it has come to the U.S.
In May of 2015, America will welcome the Rock in Rio festival and its enthusiastic crowd to none other than the city of Las Vegas! The concert is planned to feature a line-up of renowned artists such as Bruno Mars, Metallica, Taylor Swift, and many others.
