Teen Dies in Accident on Las Vegas Strip

A 16-year-old died after a single-vehicle crash near the Las Vegas Strip on Monday morning. Around 9 a.m., a car traveling at high speed westbound on Sands Avenue was approaching Las Vegas Boulevard when the driver lost control and the vehicle struck a wall on the northside of Sands Avenue, said Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. According to the police, there were three occupants in the vehicle. They believe the driver was an unlicensed juvenile. The driver and an adult in the back seat sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital. The female juvenile who was sitting in the passenger seat died from injuries sustained in the crash.
