Truck Accident Leads to Death of 29-Year-Old in Las Vegas Nevada Police arrived on a scene of a fatal truck accident in North Las Vegas on Friday morning. The crash happened at around 5:20 a.m. at Cheyenne Avenue and Bassler Street, where a woman crossing the street was hit by a truck and died, said North Las Vegas Police Officer Caitlyn Ebert.  The westbound lanes of Cheyenne were closed while police investigated. According to Ebert, the 29-year-old pedestrian had almost made it across the street when she was hit by a black Dodge truck. She was crossing outside of the marked crosswalk. The Dodge driver, a male in his 30s, remained at the scene and cooperated with police. Impairment was not suspected, said Ebert. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.  Ed Bernstein handles personal injury cases in Las Vegas for you and your loved ones.
