56-Year-Old Man Dies After Medical Episode in West Las Vegas A driver has passed away in west Las Vegas after he suffered an apparent medical episode and crashed into a pole on the morning of April 16th. The single-vehicle crash was reported at Flamingo Road and Durango Drive around 7:30 a.m. According to police, the driver of a 2012 Ford Fiesta suffered a medical episode before he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a nearby power line pole.  An officer near the area saw the crash and went to assist the driver. The victim of the incident, a 56-year-old Las Vegas man, was taken to Southern Hills Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.  This crash remains under investigation. “Car accidents are on the rise in the Las Vegas area.
