Downtown Las Vegas Crash Severely Injures Moped Driver
According to Las Vegas police, an 83-year-old man driving a moped suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car in downtown Las Vegas on Thursday morning.
The crash occurred on Las Vegas Boulevard near Washington Avenue at around 7:17 a.m., said Las Vegas Metropolitan Police in a statement released later that day.
The driver of the car, a 2019 Ford Fusion, legally entered the intersection and collided with the moped driver.
The rider of the moped was taken to University Medical Center. The Fusion driver was also taken to UMC, but with minor injuries, said police.
Police are still investigating the incident.
