Hit-and-Run Fatality Near Charleston A hit-and-run occurred early Tuesday morning, resulting in one death. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the incident took place around 4:15 a.m. at 1729 E. Charleston Boulevard, near Bruce Street. A woman was struck by a vehicle after it failed to stop in a marked parking stall and drove onto a pathway leading to the property she was sitting in front of. The woman was transported to UMC Trauma Center where she later died from her injuries. The 23-year-old driver, Tyraira La Shun Joseph, fled the scene. The police located her shortly after, noted signs of impairment, arrested her and booked her into the Clark County Detention Center. The identity of the woman who was struck by the vehicle is pending release from the coroner's office.
