Man Dies in Ducati Motorcycle Crash Near Lake Mead
A 63-year-old man was killed on Sunday when he crashed his motorcycle in the area surrounding Lake Mead, said Nevada Highway Patrol.
In a press release, NHP said that around 7:35 a.m. the man was riding a red 2018 Ducati Monster 1200R motorcycle northbound on Northshore Road near mile marker 42.
The man drifted onto the right shoulder, then into the rocky landscape. The crash threw him from the bike.
He was transported to University Medical Center where he died. NHP said this was their twenty-sixth fatal crash resulting in 27 deaths for 2020 in Southern Nevada.
