Pedestrian Dies After Hit-And-Run Near Las Vegas Strip A pedestrian passed away after a hit-and-run incident in the early morning of May 3 on Flamingo Road, east of the Las Vegas Strip. According to police, a vehicle described as a Mercedes-Benz, was traveling west on Flamingo Road around 1 a.m. when it struck the pedestrian who was in the crosswalk at Burnham Avenue. The vehicle immediately left the scene after hitting the man. The pedestrian, a 60-year-old man from Oceanside California, was rushed to Sunrise Hospital and Medical center where he unfortunately passed away. His identification has not yet been released. Detectives are seeking the public's help identifying and locating the driver and vehicle. Anyone with information should contact Las Vegas Metro Police at 702-828-3595.
