Two Californians Killed in Crash Northeast of Las Vegas Valley
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, two people were killed in a crash Sunday about an hour northeast of the Las Vegas Valley.
NHP said the single-vehicle crash happened near Glendale on SR 168 and mile marker 11.
The crash involved a 1995 Lexus sedan that left the roadway for an unknown reason, said NHP. The driver overcorrected and crossed the eastbound lanes to a desert area off-road.
The two people in the Lexus, a 19-year-old driver and 29-year-old passenger from California, were killed in the crash, NHP said. According to the investigators, both were not wearing seat belts and believe impairment may have played a part in the crash.
The crash was reported by a passer-by, so the exact time of the crash was unknown.
