Woman Was Killed by Drunk Driver Attempting to Cross the Road in Vegas

A 68-year-old woman was killed on December 17th as she was hit by a car while attempting to cross the road. The woman was walking back to her car after retrieving a personal item when she slipped and fell into the intersection of Warm Springs Road and Eastern Avenue. She was then struck by a Chrysler 300 and rushed to Sunrise Trauma where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the Chrysler failed a sobriety test and is facing DUI charges. The woman’s death marks the 98th traffic-related fatality of 2020 in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction. Car accidents are on the rise in the Las Vegas area.
