A motorcyclist was killed on January 5th after a collision with a car in east Las Vegas, according to Metro Police. The crash happened at the intersection of Sahara Avenue and Winterwood Boulevard, around 2:45 p.m. According to the police investigation, the 2007 Harley Davidson sideswiped a 2017 Toyota Camry that had “left a posted stop sign”. The motorcyclist, a 56-year-old Las Vegas man was rushed to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where he was unfortunately pronounced dead. The juvenile motorist operating the Toyota Camry was also treated there for minor injuries. This death marks the 4th traffic-related fatality on Las Vegas roads in only the first five days of 2021.
