Two People Killed in Head-On Wreck in South Las Vegas
Two people were killed and another suffered life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle collision on the afternoon of May 12.
The wreck was reported just after 3:00 p.m. on Blue Diamond Road and Valley View Boulevard.
According to police, a 2004 GMC Envoy was traveling east on Blue Diamond Road when it veered into oncoming traffic and struck a 2014 Toyota head-on.
The 29-year-old man driving the GMC unfortunately passed away at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota and the passenger were both taken to University Medical Center, where the passenger, a 23-year-old woman died. The driver of the Toyota remained in critical condition.
The two fatalities were the 46th and 47th deaths reported on Metro-patrolled roadways in the year 2021.
