Never drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Always follow the speed limit, even when you are rushed.
Avoid any distraction such as a phone or tablet.
When possible, do not drive when you are very sleepy or drowsy.
Always wear your seatbelt.
Take extra care and drive slowly in adverse weather conditions.
Keep a safe distance from large trucks – more than with a usual vehicle.
Do not be aggressive with nearby truck drivers. Try to stay out of their way.
Keep your vehicle well-maintained in order to take quick action if needed.
Remember that these trucks need a lot of extra space to turn.
If you are driving a large truck, never neglect your rest stops.
It’s not a good idea to be between two large trucks.
When riding, wear a helmet and any other safety gear you have.
Do not swoop in between other vehicles.
Try to make yourself more visible with bright or reflective gear.
Signal your moves far in advance and avoid quick changes.
Avoid wearing open toed shoes.
Keep the proper license required for motorcycle driving.
