Motorist Crash on Las Vegas Freeway A motorcyclist on the U.S. 95 Las Vegas Highway was witnessed having a “mechanical issue” before fatally crashing on Friday morning. The Nevada Highway Patrol reported that the motorist, a Las Vegas resident in his 40s, was traveling southbound on U.S. 95 near the Decatur exit when he stalled in one of the middle lanes while attempting to pull over to the right shoulder.  A woman driving a Dodge Ram pickup slammed on the brakes but could not prevent her vehicle from striking the back of the stopped motorcyclist. The rider died shortly after being taken to the University Medical Center. His family has been notified for identification by the Clark County coroner’s office. According to the Highway Patrol, impairment was not a factor contributing to the crash. Ed Bernstein handles personal injury cases in Las Vegas for you or a loved one.
