Nevada Reading Week

Nevada Reading Week

The Nevada Department of Education began “Nevada Reading Week” in 1987. The program was originally for Nevada teachers and librarians to honor reading and promote literacy through engaging activities and raised awareness. Over time, the initiative grew and parents, community members, local celebrities and prominent Nevada figures began to become involved in the celebration by donating books and reading to students. The festivities usually begin during the last week of February and coincide with the birthday of Dr. Seuss. Attorneys Edward M. Bernstein & Associates participate in Nevada Reading Week each year with their community partner Robert Lunt Elementary School. The theme for this year was “Camp READ- Nevada, USA”. Employees of the Las Vegas personal injury law firm collected books for donation and were encouraged to visit the school to read to the “campers”.   unspecified-6 unspecified-5 unspecified-4 unspecified-3 unspecified-2 unspecified-1 For more information about Nevada Reading week, visit the Clark County School District website
