Travis “Bart” Brown
– Legal Assistant
Bart joined Edward M. Bernstein and Associates in 1991. Bart is the firm’s most Senior Legal Assistant in the area of Workers’ Compensation and a Master in his field. Bart’s combined 22 years of experience has been instrumental in helping thousands of injured workers through the claims process and settlement. He has a reputation in the community for his knowledge in helping injured workers.
Prior to joining Edward M. Bernstein and Associates, Bart began his career as a safety consultant and accident investigator. This experience led him to handle self-insured workers’ compensation claims for a large employer insurance company. Tired of fighting against the employer to get the benefits people deserved, Bart felt that his experience handling claims would be better used working for the injured worker, helping to resolve their work related injuries.
His fellow co-workers describe him as the “go-to person”, helpful and reliable. He has a special talent in wage calculation and he is very detail oriented. He remembers dates and always makes sure everything is done in a timely manner. That’s one of the reasons he enjoys working in our firm.
“We have been doing this for years. We have a system that works. From how we work a file to how often we communicate to our clients. There is no small case for us.”
Bart is from Pleasant Grove, Utah. He attended college at Brigham Young University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety. He is also a Licensed Workers’ Compensation Representative.

Bart is a committed family man, and a Boy Scout at heart. He enjoys outdoor activities like camping and fishing.
