A tow truck driver was tragically killed while working on the right shoulder of westbound 215 Beltway near Decatur Boulevard on the evening of March 9th.
The tow truck driver, Ryan Billotte of Las Vegas, was performing his job on the side of the road when the suspect vehicle drifted out of the right lane and struck Billotte.
The suspect vehicle did not stop to render aid or contact emergency personnel. Billotte was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Nevada Highway Patrol described the suspect vehicle as a white box van, potentially a Ford Econoline, with damage to the front right side of the vehicle.
A third person was at the scene as their car was being loaded onto the tow truck, luckily they were not injured in the incident.
