The Clark County School District is calling all heroes to fill needed positions! CCSD and Vegas PBS are partnering to provide assistance to individuals applying for these jobs from 10 am until 2 pm at Vegas PBS. May 10: The 38th Annual San Gennaro Feast will be taking place from May 10th through May 14th at Craig Ranch Park. This is a great family event that includes carnival rides, live entertainment, Italian and International food, and specialty vendors. The activities will conclude with a firework show on May 14th at 9pm. Also, the College of Southern Nevada is having its Semester End Percussion Ensemble Concert! The Department of Fine Arts presents the return of an engaging, energetic evening of percussive surprises from the CSN Percussion Ensemble under the direction of Daryl Belcher at 7:30 pm in the BackStage Theatre at the CSN North Las Vegas campus. May 11: The Safe Summer Nights Celebration is open to the public from 5-7pm at Matt Kelly Elementary School. Community members are invited to enjoy free music, special student performances, family games, face painting, arts and crafts, and free refreshments, along with a community health and resource fair. The health and resource fair will offer basic health, vision and dental screenings, along with information about programs for summer youth activities, money management, adult education, community safety and more. May 12: From 4-7pm, Plantone's Italian Restaurant will be hosting the 1st Annual Real Estate Industry Appreciation Day. As industry achievements are recognized, attendees will enjoy a complimentary drink, homemade Italian food, gift card giveaways, and prizes. May 13:  FIT4MOM is presenting a Celebration of Moms, just in time for Mother’s Day. FIT4MOM is an organization dedicated to providing opportunities for soon-to-be moms, new moms and all moms to exercise, enjoy fitness classes and socialize in a supportive environment! The event will take place from 8am until noon on The Lawn at Downtown Summerlin. Also, The Galleria at Sunset will host Mix 94.1’s Kids Mix from 10 am to 4 pm. With free admission and free parking, the family-friendly event will include live music and entertainment, kid-focused activities and $5 all-you-can-eat frozen yogurt Also, the Clark County Parks and Recreation’s 28th annual Jazz in the Park will feature Lindsey Webster and Halsey Harkins and the Shapiro Project this weekend for a free concert, beginning at 6:30 pm at the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater. May 14: The Nevada Northern Railway, a National Historic Landmark, is offering free rides to all moms on Mother’s Day. Treat mom to a trip aboard a historic passenger coach pulled by a locomotive. Passengers will enjoy a ride through remarkable Robinson Canyon with trains departing at 9:30 am and 1 pm. Also, In the shady cool hollows of the Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, the ivory white flower cones of the yerba mansa plants are in full bloom. Give your mom a walk through a living bouquet this Mother's Day! This moderately strenuous ranger-guided hike will last about 1.5 hours (9am-10:30am) and will cover about 1.5 miles. Please wear comfortable, closed toes shoes, a hat, and bring one liter of water per person.
