Community Activities from February 22nd to February 26th in Las Vegas Valley In the community The whole week: Humana will be continuing their clothing and food drive for homeless and at-risk military veterans. To donate gently used clothing and nonperishable food items, please stop by one of their two locations. Their Henderson building is at 1000 N. Green Valley Pkwy., Suite 720, Henderson, NV 89074 and their Summerlin building is at 8885 W. Charleston Blvd., Suite 140, Las Vegas, NV 89117. February 22: Also in support of veterans, there will be a veteran and families hiring event at the Vegas PBS Education and Technology Campus at 3050 E. Flamingo Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89121. Additionally, gambling expert and author Bob Dancer is teaching a free video poker class at the South Point Hotel and Casino from 12pm to 1:30pm. February 23: ReBar (8821 Canyon Rim Way #103, Las Vegas, NV 89117) is having a Mardi Gras Pawty Benefiting A Home 4 Spot. You may bring your dogs and friends from 7pm to 9pm for an evening full of fun activities for dog lovers. February 24: From 5:45-6:45pm, West Las Vegas Arts Center is having a West African Drumming Class for only $20. February 25: Springs Preserve is hosting a Mardi Gras celebration with Cajun and Creole cuisine, music and culture. The party starts at 12 pm and lasts until 4 pm. Later that evening, TPC Summerlin is holding the 6th Annual evening of “Global Hope” by the Global Charity Foundation. Tickets are $125 to the foundation that provides support to women and children in need, including tutoring for at-rick students in Southern Nevada. February 26: PETA Founder’s ‘Unstoppable’ Speaking Tour is coming to Las Vegas at the Red Rock Country Club.
