Ed Bernstein Injury Lawyers recently partnered with Chefs For Kids during a community event on May 20, supporting children and families facing food insecurity in Southern Nevada, highlighting the firm’s continued commitment to local charitable and educational programs in Las Vegas.
During the event, volunteers, supporters, and community members gathered to raise awareness and support programs designed to help children experiencing food insecurity. Beyond providing meals, the event also focused on nutrition education, teaching children and families about healthy eating habits, balanced meals, and the importance of long-term wellness.
Food insecurity continues to affect many households throughout Southern Nevada. Families facing these challenges often struggle to consistently access nutritious food, which can impact children’s health, school performance, and overall development. Organizations like Chefs For Kids work to help address these issues through meal assistance programs, nutrition education, and community outreach efforts.
Chefs For Kids continues to work with community partners, such as Ed Bernstein Injury Lawyers and 13 Connects, to expand nutrition education and meal support efforts across Southern Nevada. Through these efforts, the nonprofit hopes to provide students not only with meals but also with resources and knowledge that can positively influence their health and future well-being.
During the event, local organizations, including Ed Bernstein Injury Lawyers and 13 Connects, also presented a combined monetary donation of $6,500 to Chefs For Kids Executive Director Renee Guglielmetti. According to the organization, the funds will directly support “Title I schools,” which are schools that serve higher percentages of students from low-income households. These programs often help provide meal assistance, nutrition education, and additional resources for children and families who may need extra support.
Ed Bernstein spoke during the event about the importance of supporting children and improving nutrition awareness within the community. Bernstein said, “We are talking about nutrition for children. This wasn’t available when I was a kid… If I had information when I was 7 or 8, it would have made a big difference in my life.”
He also emphasized how children can sometimes help bring healthy habits into their households, saying, “Oftentimes, it is up to children to educate their parents because their parents never really learned this.”
The event brought together local supporters, volunteers, and organizations working toward a shared goal of helping children and families throughout Las Vegas. It also demonstrated how partnerships between nonprofits and local businesses can create meaningful support systems for communities facing financial hardship.
Ed Bernstein Injury Lawyers has remained active in a variety of community-focused initiatives throughout Las Vegas over the years.
