Las Vegas Crash Involving a Car and Motorcycle Proves Fatal The Nevada Highway Patrol was investigating a fatal crash on Thursday that killed a motorcycle rider. The accident occurred when a car and motorcycle collided around 7:30 p.m. near Lake Mead Boulevard and the Mile 3 marker, said the NHP. An eyewitness told troopers that a Nissan was stopped on the eastbound right shoulder as a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Lake Mead. The Nissan driver made an unsafe U-turn onto Lake Mead and impacted with the front of the motorcycle. The rider was thrown off his motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.
