Las Vegas Crash Involving a Car and Motorcycle Proves Fatal
The Nevada Highway Patrol was investigating a fatal crash on Thursday that killed a motorcycle rider.
The accident occurred when a car and motorcycle collided around 7:30 p.m. near Lake Mead Boulevard and the Mile 3 marker, said the NHP.
An eyewitness told troopers that a Nissan was stopped on the eastbound right shoulder as a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Lake Mead.
The Nissan driver made an unsafe U-turn onto Lake Mead and impacted with the front of the motorcycle.
The rider was thrown off his motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Nissan Altima was arrested by troopers for suspicion of DUI resulting in the death of the rider.
