Man Dies After Crashing Into Utility Box in Las Vegas Nevada Las Vegas police arrived at the scene of a fatal accident in South Valley on Saturday night.  A driver hit a utility box and a light pole on the corner of Las Vegas and Silverado Ranch boulevards around 7:30 p.m. on March 21, said Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Lt. Miguel Ibarra. The cause of the incident was not immediately known to police. The man driving the vehicle was dead at the scene. The Silverado Ranch and Las Vegas intersection was expected to remain closed for several hours. The Clark County Coroner's Office will release the driver's identity, cause and manner of death.
