Pedestrian Hit by SUV Dies in Las Vegas Hospital A woman was killed on the evening of July 13th after being hit by an SUV while she was crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk. According to Metro Police, the incident occurred at about 11:20 p.m. north of East Fremont Street and East Oakey Boulevard. The SUV was traveling south on Fremont when the vehicle struck the pedestrian, about 250 feet away from a marked crosswalk. The 43-year-old Las Vegas woman was rushed to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where she unfortunately died from her injuries.  The driver, a 58-year-old Las Vegas woman, was not injured and remained at the scene with no signs of impairment.
