5-Car Crash Leads to Death of Las Vegas Woman
A 73-year old woman lost her life after a five-car crash in North Las Vegas on July 13th.
The intersection of West Craig Road and North Allen Lane was closed for hours as officers investigated the incident.
According to police, a white Mazda set off the chain of collisions after running a red light and colliding with a Dodge Ram truck.
The Dodge truck was sent into a silver BMW sedan, debris from that impact was sent into a westbound black Dodge sedan.
Meanwhile, the Mazda kept momentum and struck another pickup truck.
The driver of the Mazda, Linda Zumtobel, was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
Speed was not thought to be a factor in the crash, but the incident remains under investigation.
