A Truck Driver Was Suspected of Impairment After Hitting Bicyclist
An intersection in the west Las Vegas Valley closed due to a crash involving a bicycle Monday morning.
The crash occurred around 6:45 a.m. near the intersection of Sahara Avenue and Durango Drive, said Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Lt. David Gordon.
According to Gordon, the incident involved a bicyclist and a Nissan pickup truck. The bicyclist was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The driver involved was suspected to be impaired, said LVMPD. The intersection of Sahara and Durango was closed in all directions as the police investigated.
