Accident On I-15 Closes Freeway on Saturday Night

On the evening of Saturday, May 7th, a Toyota Camry was traveling north on Interstate 15 when the driver attempted to merge onto US 95 and collided with a barrier. Upon contact, two of the vehicle’s occupants were not wearing seatbelts and were subsequently ejected from the car. In total, four passengers were delivered to University Medical Center where the two ejected passengers were pronounced dead. The accident closed a portion of the freeway for around six hours on Saturday night. The driver of the Toyota Camry was a 26-year-old male. He has been arrested on two counts of DUI resulting in death and another count of DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm.     “Car accidents are on the rise in the Las Vegas area.
