Motorcyclist Injured While Attempting to Evade Nevada Highway Patrol Troopers

According to authorities, a motorcyclist was severely injured after a Nevada state trooper attempted to pull him over on US Highway 95, just west of downtown Las Vegas. The incident happened around 4:45 pm and shut down all southbound lanes on US 95 until later that evening at around 8 pm. Police say that a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle was seen driving at a high rate of speed when the trooper turned on his lights and attempted to pull over the motorcycle. According to reports, the motorcycle then made unsafe lane changes in an attempt to evade the officer, resulting in the motorcycle slamming into the back of a Buick. The rider was ejected from the bike and sustained major injuries. He was transported to University Medical Center. Officers are still investigating whether or not impairment was a factor.       “Car accidents are on the rise in the Las Vegas area.
