NHP: Nevada Wrong-Way Driver Dies After Striking Three Vehicles on 215
A wrong-way driver died in a four-vehicle crash Friday night, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred just before 11:30 p.m. on the 215 Southern Beltway at Tropicana Avenue.
A blue Mazda was driving the wrong way on 215, traveling northbound on southbound lanes, NHP said. The driver hit a Ford F-250, forcing the truck off the road and into a concrete barrier. The Mazda spun out, hit a Hyundai and a BMW, then struck a tire that fell from the Mazda.
The female driver of the Mazda died at the scene. Three people from the Hyundai and one person in the Ford were transported to University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
