Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck by SUV in Las Vegas
The death of a pedestrian who was struck by an SUV in east Las Vegas has been announced by the Metropolitan Police Department.
The accident occurred at 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 9 on South Sandhill Road and Silbert Lane, according to police.
A Kia Sedona hit the 26-year-old Las Vegas man who was “standing or walking” on Sandhill, police said.
The coroner's office in Clark County, Nevada, identified the man as Jordan Wilkins.
Police said the driver was not under the influence, as Wilkins was rushed to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in critical condition.
