Pedestrian Dies While Attempting to Cross Boulder Highway A 50-year-old pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Boulder Highway in the early morning of December 7th.   Around 3:42 a.m. the pedestrian was attempting to cross the road without using a crosswalk at the 3700 block of Boulder Highway when the she was struck by a Kia.    The driver of the Kia, a 63-year-old Las Vegas man, was not suspected of impairment in the incident.   The female pedestrian died at the scene and her identity was not released to the public.   The investigation caused the northbound lanes of Boulder Highway to be closed at US-95 and Dalhart Street.   This woman’s death marked the 138th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas Metro’s jurisdiction for 2021.   “Car accidents are on the rise in the Las Vegas area.
