Pedestrian in Critical Condition After Being Hit by Vehicle
On Thursday evening, a pedestrian was struck north of downtown Las Vegas and was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The man, believed to be 48 years old, was struck outside of a marked crosswalk by a 2013 Kia Sorento traveling eastbound while he attempted to cross West Washington Avenue near Down Way, police said.
The pedestrian was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition. The driver and passenger of the vehicle were not injured.
