Police Searching for Driver Who Fatally Hit Man Outside of Las Vegas Casino Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are searching for a woman who allegedly drove onto a sidewalk and hit an unsuspecting man on the afternoon of March 14th. Metro Police say the incident happened just after 4:30 p.m. just a few blocks east of the Strip. According to multiple witnesses and a surveillance video, a car traveling on Sahara Avenue veered onto the sidewalk before hitting a man who was sitting in front of the Eureka Casino. The driver then fled, hitting multiple poles while escaping the scene. Metro Police say that the victim, a male in his 60s, was rushed to the hospital before he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. Police described the driver as a woman, roughly 5-foot-7, between 25 and 35 years old, weighing between 120 and 140 pounds with dirty blonde hair and brown eyes. She was driving a white Ford F-150. This incident marks the 20th traffic-related death in Las Vegas Metropolitan Police jurisdiction for the year 2021. Car accidents are on the rise in the Las Vegas area.
