The debris from a deadly crash Wednesday morning closed U.S. 95 between Indian Springs and State Route 160.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol the crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. near State Route 160. A Ford F-150 was traveling northbound on U.S. 95 while a Honda Pilot was traveling southbound in an area of the highway that is single-lane in both directions.
The truck crossed the centerline and entered the southbound lane, striking the left front of the Honda, said NHP. A male passenger of the Honda was pronounced dead on the scene.
Both the drivers of the Honda and the Ford were transported to University Medical Center in critical condition. Impairment does not seem to have been a factor in the crash, said NHP.
The incident marks the 20th fatal crash seen by the NHP in 2020.
