Wanted Man Arrested After Fatal Car Crash That Killed 6-Year-Old Child A man wanted on a warrant in Oregon for domestic violence charges was arrested on the evening of April 28 in Nevada after he ran a red light and hit another car, killing a 6-year-old child. Reno police officers attempted to pull over Jesse Allen Bennett, 33, of Eugene before he attempted to escape and crashed into another car in a Reno intersection. The car struck the side of another vehicle that was carrying the 6-year-old child, who sadly passed away. Following the crash, Barrett attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended. A passenger in his car who also fled remains at large. According to police, Barrett was jailed on an Oregon warrant as well as Nevada DUI, felon in possession of a firearm, and other crimes. The Oregon charges against Bennett included attempted kidnapping, strangulation constituting domestic violence, assault constituting domestic violence, and failure to comply with terms of probation.   “Car accidents are on the rise in the Las Vegas area.
