Community Activities from March 28th to April 2nd in Las Vegas Valley In the community March 28: Learn about the master's degree in hospitality and hotel administration offered by UNLV's Harrah Hotel College at the Hospitality Degree Information Session inside of BRAVO Cucina Italiana (in the Galleria at Sunset) from 5:30-7:30 pm. Food and beverages will be provided. March 29: National Career Fair is hosting a live hiring event at the Palace Station Hotel at 11 am. The event is FREE for all career seekers to attend. Please dress professionally and bring multiple copies of your resumes. March 30: Planned Parenthood of Southern Nevada (PPSN) will host its 8th Annual Corks and Forks Gala at 6pm at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The event will honor Elaine Wynn with the Joyce Mack Philanthropic Award. Also, UNLV is presenting a University Forum, From Pancho to Pacquiao: Masculinity, Nationalism, and Filipino Boxing, in the Marjorie Barrick Museum at 7:30 pm. March 31: The Clark County Medical Society Alliance (CCMSA) Annual Spring Fashion Show will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel at 10:30 am to benefit veteran health services. This year, CCMSA will showcase fashions from Anne Fontaine. Proceeds from the event will benefit veteran health services and further the mission of the CCMSA, which is to better healthcare in Southern Nevada through education, outreach and philanthropy. April 1: UNLV’s 30th annual Festival of Communities will be held from 11 am until 3 pm on the Academic Mall of campus (4505 S. Maryland Parkway). The festivities include live entertainment, activities, vendors, and cultural food. This event is free, family-friendly, and open to the public. April 2: Join a nature guide for an introductory tour of the Nature Preserve at the Wetlands Park at 10am. The free walk is great for first time visitors or those interested in learning more about Wetlands Park.
