2020 brought difficulty and tragedy to many in the Las Vegas area. Unfortunately, the same was true for drivers on southern Nevada roads.

Despite seeing a decrease in commuter traffic and drivers on the road in 2020, traffic fatalities actually increased from 2019. Clark County saw 152 lives lost in traffic accidents from January to November, 11 more than the previous year.

The increase in deaths is troubling, especially given the decrease in drivers due to the Coronavirus. The biggest contributors to driving danger point to impairment, reckless driving, and lack of seatbelt use.
