Bicyclist Killed by Motorist While Traveling Through Crosswalk The Metropolitan Police Department announced this week that a bicyclist who was hit by a car in late November has died from his injuries. This was the 139th roadway fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan area this year.   George Goss, 59 years old and resident of Las Vegas died Wednesday at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where he had been taken following the collision that happened at approximately 10:58 a.m. on the east side of the valley along East Flamingo and South Mojave Road on November 29.    Goss was traveling through a lighted crosswalk when he was hit by a Toyota Corolla traveling eastbound, which reportedly failed to yield.   Police said the 18-year-old driver of the vehicle was not injured nor impaired and there are currently no pending charges.    “Car accidents are on the rise in the Las Vegas area.
